DRIED BEAN OR PEAS CURRY

Ingredients
  Dried beans/Peas 1 Pound
  Tomatoes 2
  Curry powder 2 Teaspoon
  Green ginger 1
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm)
  Onions 3
  Turmeric 1⁄2 Ounce
  Chilies 2
  Oil 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Salt To Taste
Directions

Wash and soak the beans as directed.
Press together the garlic and ginger in press or mortar with salt.
Brown the sliced onions in oil and stir in all the spices.
Cook for a few minutes together, and add the pulse with enough of the soak-water to cover.
Simmer curry gently until the pulse is tender.
Do not allow to break up.
Serve with rice.
