Raw Jackfruit In Coconut Curry

Ingredients
  Raw jackfruit pieces 20 , each cut into two, seeds removed
  Fresh coconut 1 Large, grated
  Kashmiri red chillies 8
  Garlic 10 Clove (50 gm)
  Black peppercorns 10
  Cloves 5
  Green cardamoms 4 (seeds only)
  Cinnamon 2 Inch (1 piece)
  Star anise 1
  Crushed jaggery 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Tamarind pulp 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Chopped fresh coriander 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Asafoetida 1 Pinch
  Black mustard seeds 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Curry leaves 10
  Salt To Taste
  Oil/Ghee 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Gently fry the jackfruit in 1/2 cup pure ghee till soft and set aside.
In the same vessel, add a little more ghee and cook the ground masala till red. Add 1 cup water, the freshly cut coriander and salt and allow to simmer for 7 minutes.
Place the asafoetida, mustard seeds and curry leaves in 2 teaspoons of oil, heat well till the mustard seeds crackle and add to the jackfruit. Stir well and serve.
Eat with hot golden brown parathas.
