Sprouted Green Gram Curry

Sprouted green gram is very healthy. A very good recipe for kids and children.
Ingredients
  Onion 1 Medium, chopped
  Chana masala 1 Teaspoon
  Bhaji masala 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Turmeric powder 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Garlic – ginger paste 1 Teaspoon
  Salt To Taste
  Chopped cilantro 1 Teaspoon (For garnishing)
  Cumin seeds 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Oil 2 Tablespoon
  Garam masala powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Green gram 2 Cup (32 tbs), sprouted
  Tomato 1 , finely chopped
Directions

1. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin, when they splutter add onions and fry till golden brown.
2. Add turmeric powder and mix well.
3. Add ginger garlic paste and saute for few seconds.
4. Add 1/4 cup water and mix it well. Now add chana masala, and pav bhaji masala and saute for few seconds.
5. Add tomatoes and cook till mushy.
6. Now add sprouted green gram along with garam masala powder and salt.
7. Add another 1/4 cup of water and bring it to a boil.
8. Cover and cook on a low flame till green gram is tender and all the water evaporates. (Stir occasionally)
9. Serve hot garnished with cilantro as a side dish with rice or any Indian bread.

Sprouted grams are packed with proteins. This is so healthy! . Also makes an excellent side-dish with Steamed Rice or Indian Breads.

This is one of Raghu's favorite recipes. I didn't know about this recipe. It was Raghu who used to prepare this when he was single.
