Bengali Style Fish Curry

This is one of the easiest recipe of fish curry. If you are in hurry and dont have much time to cook a fish gravy then you can give this a try. Believe me ypu will love it.
Ingredients
  Carp fish/King fish 1 Kilogram
  Potatoes 200 Gram
  Brinjal 100 Gram
  Cilantro leaves 1 Teaspoon (coriander)
  Green chillies 3
  Nigella seed 1 Teaspoon (onion seed or kalo jeere)
  Turmeric powder 1 Teaspoon
  Chilli powder 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Cut the fish into medium slices.Wash the fish and sprinkle salt and pinch of turmeric powder and keep aside.
clean potatoes and cut them into thin slices and also the brinjals. you can add the other vegetables if you want. In a non stick pan heat oil and fry the fish slices. Keep them aside.
Now add 1/2 tsp of nigella seed to the oil and let it splatter. To this add 1 slit green chilly.Then add the cut vegetables,green chillies and spinkle salt and fry for 3 mins in medium heat.
Add 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder and 1 tsp of chilli powder and mix it well with the vegetables. Stir in low heat for 2 mins. Then add 2 -3 cups of water and add the fried fish pieces. cover the pan with a lid and let the fish and vegetables cook for 4 - 5 mins in low - medium heat. You can add the chopped cilantro leaves and Stir occasionally.Wait for the gravy to get thickened. Serve hot with rice.
