Essential Curry Sauce

Ingredients
  Chopped onion 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Chopped tart apple 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Shortening 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), crushed
  Curry powder 2 Tablespoon (Or More)
  Catsup 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Stock 2 Cup (32 tbs) (Rich Stock Such As Chicken, Beef, Or Fish)
  Lemon juice 2 Tablespoon
  Salt To Taste
Directions

Cook onion and apple in shortening until onion is transparent.
Add garlic, curry powder, catsup, stock, and lemon juice.
Salt to taste; thicken slightly if desired.
Heat the cooked food to be served in this sauce.
