Essential Curry Sauce

|Chopped onion||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chopped tart apple||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Shortening||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), crushed|
|Curry powder||2 Tablespoon (Or More)|
|Catsup||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Stock||2 Cup (32 tbs) (Rich Stock Such As Chicken, Beef, Or Fish)|
|Lemon juice||2 Tablespoon|
Cook onion and apple in shortening until onion is transparent.
Add garlic, curry powder, catsup, stock, and lemon juice.
Salt to taste; thicken slightly if desired.
Heat the cooked food to be served in this sauce.
