Spiced Currants

Ingredients
  Sugar 6 Cup (96 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon (Leveled)
  Vinegar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Cloves 1⁄2 Teaspoon (Leveled)
  Currants 3 Quart
  Allspice 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Seeded raisins 1 Pound
  Nutmeg 1⁄4 Teaspoon (Leveled)
Directions

Combine the sugar and vinegar, bring to a boil and simmer gently until the sugar is thoroughly dissolved.
Then add the cleaned washed currants and the seeded raisins which have been chopped fine.
Boil 35 min. then add the salt, cloves, allspice and nutmeg.
Boil 5 min. longer, then pour into clean, hot, sterilized jars, adjust the rubbers and seal tight.
