Red Currant Cobbler

Ingredients
  Granulated sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Firmly packed light brown sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), cut into small pieces
  Red currants 1 Quart, washed and stemmed
  Sifted all purpose flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Egg 1
  Light cream/Milk 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
Directions

Combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, butter, and red currants.
Put in greased 2-quart baking dish.
Sift together flour and baking powder.
Beat in egg and cream.
Sprinkle over currant mixture.
Bake in preheated hot oven (400°F.) for about 35 minutes, or until top is crisp.
Serve warm, with heavy cream if desired.
