Black Currant Ice

Ingredients
  Sugar 6 Ounce
  Water 12 Ounce
  Cinnamon stick 1 Inch
  Black currants 1⁄2 Pound
  Lemon juice 1 1⁄2 Tablespoon
  Grated orange rind 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

Make a syrup by mixing 6 oz. sugar, 12 oz. water, a 1 inch piece of cinnamon stick and bring to a boil.
Boil S minutes.
Remove from heat.
Discard cinnamon stick.
Cool.
Stir 1/2 lb. black-currants, 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice and 1/2 teaspoon grated orange rind into the cooled syrup.
Pour mixture into a refrigerator tray and freeze until mushy in the freezing compartment of your refrigerator.
Pour ice into a chilled bowl.
Beat with a rotary beater until all the ice particles are dissolved.
Return to refrigerator tray and freeze.
