Raisin Cupcakes

Ingredients
  Raisins 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Butter 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

Simmer raisins in water 5 minutes. Cool. Cream butter and sugar well; add egg, and beat until fluffy. Sift dry ingredients together, and then add to creamed mixture alternately with raisins and the raisin water. Beat well after each addition. Divide batter into 12 muffin cups, either well greased or lined with fluted paper cups. (We prefer the fluted paper.) Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until cakes test done.
