Ingredients
  Raisins 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Granulated sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Butter 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Egg 1
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Raisin water 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Soda 1 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Cloves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

GETTING READY
1) Preheat the oven to 375° F.

MAKING
2) Simmer the raisins for 20 minutes after covering them with water.
3) Strain and allow the liquid to cool.
4) Mix butter and sugar, creaming them, and then add slightly beaten egg.
5) Sieve flour, salt, soda and spices together.
6) Add this flour mixture to the egg mixture alternately with raisin water.
7) Add raisins and bake in the oven for 30 minutes.

SERVING
8) Serve warm.
