Dilly Cucumbers and Red Onions

Ingredients
  English cucumber 1 , cut into 1/4 inch slices
  Red onion 1 , thinly sliced
For marinade
  White vinegar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Granulated sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Vegetable oil 2 Tablespoon
  Chopped fresh dill/1 teaspoon dried dill weed 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  White pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

1. Combine cucumber and onion in a bowl.
2. In a small bowl, combine vinegar, water, sugar, oil, dill, salt and pepper. Pour over cucumber mixture; toss to coat thoroughly.
3. Chill for at least 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
