Cuban Sandwich

Cuban sandwich is also known as the Mixto or the Cuban pressed sandwich and has ham and Cuban styled pork roast in it along with cheese (Swiss or cheddar), pickles and mustard sauce. Occasionally salami is also used in the Cuban sandwich, which is essentially made with Cuban bread. The Cuban sandwich was introduced into America by Cuban cigar workers who migrated to Ybor city in Tampa, Florida during the early 1900’s and used to take the sandwich as lunch.
