Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Lightly grease 9-inch pie pan.
Beat egg whites until foamy.
Gradually add sugar a tablespoon at a time and continue to beat until moist and stiff peaks form when beater is withdrawn.
Spoon into pie pan so that it covers bottom and sides.
Bake for 1 hour until light brown.
Cool before filling.
Good filled with fresh fruit.
