Gallatin'S Mushrooms A La Creme George

Ingredients
  Mushrooms 1⁄2 Pound (Stems Chopped)
  Butter 1 Teaspoon
  Dry sherry/Madeira 1 Teaspoon
  Dairy sour cream 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Monosodium glutamate 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Saute mushrooms in butter in a small pan 2 minutes.
Add sherry and cook 1 minute.
Add sour cream, monosodium glutamate, and salt and pepper to taste; heat thoroughly (do not boil).

I worked at Gallatin's in 1970. What a wonderful place. I loved the Mushroom A La Creme George which they served on melba toast. Can't wit to try the recipe.
