Frosted Ginger Cream
|Shortening||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Egg yolks||2 , beaten (or 1 egg)|
|Molasses||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Cake flour||3 1⁄2 Cup (56 tbs)|
|Raisins||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Cream shortening with sugar and spices.
Add egg and beat well Add molasses and milk and blend.
Stir in flour sifted with soda and salt.
Spread 1/4 inch deep in 2 well greased 10x15 inch pans.
Bake 12 minutes at 350Â°F.
Cool in pans and spread with Confectioners' Icing.
Cut in squares or diamonds.
