Vanilla Cream

Ingredients
  Soft butter 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Whipping cream 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  All purpose flour 2 Cup (32 tbs), sifted
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1
  Soft butter 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Icing sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), sifted
  Egg yolk 1
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Mix 1 cup butter, cream, flour and salt thoroughly.
Chill several hours or overnight.
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Roll dough 1/8 inch thick and cut into 11/2-inch rounds.
Dip each round in sugar, coating on both sides.
Use a spatula to lift cookies so they don't break.
Put on ungreased cookie sheet, prick several times with the tines of a fork and bake until puffy but not brown, 7 to 9 minutes.
Cool.
Blend 1/4 cup butter, icing sugar, egg yolk and vanilla.
Put cookies together in pairs with this mixture.
