Turnips In Sour Cream
|Boiling salted water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Caraway seeds||1 Tablespoon|
|Sour cream||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Dried basil||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Lemon juice||1 Tablespoon|
1. Preheat oven to moderate (350° F.).
2. Cook the turnips in boiling salted water with the caraway seeds ten minutes. Drain and cool.
3. Peel and slice the turnips and place in a buttered casserole. Add the sour cream and basil, cover and bake until tender, about twenty-five minutes.
4. Sprinkle with paprika and a little lemon juice
