1. Place water and sugar in a large, heavy saucepan and bring to a boil.
2. Add pears and apricots, reduce heat, and simmer for 5 minutes.
3. Add oranges to saucepan and simmer for 5 more minutes.
4. Add cranberries and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.
