Cranberry Roly Poly
|All purpose flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Soft shortening||3 Tablespoon|
|Milk||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Whole berry cranberry sauce||2 Cup (32 tbs), drained|
|Custard sauce/Whipped cream||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Sift together first four ingredients.
Cut in shortening, add milk, and mix to form soft dough.
Turn out on floured board and knead several times.
Roll to form a rectangle 1/4 inch thick.
Spread with sauce to within 1/2 inch of edge.
Roll up like jelly roll, dampen edge with water, and seal with tines of fork.
Put on greased cookie sheet and bake in preheated hot oven (400°F.) for about 20 minutes.
Cut into slices and serve with custard sauce.
