Cranberry Fruit Conserve
|Fresh cranberries||1 Pound, picked over, washed|
|Water||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Sugar||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Seeded raisins||1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped|
|Apple||1 , peeled, cored and chopped|
|Orange rind||2 Tablespoon, grated|
|Orange juice||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||3 Tablespoon|
|Lemon rind||1 Tablespoon, grated|
|Chopped walnuts||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
1. Cook the cranberries in the water until all the skins pop open. Add the sugar, raisins, apple, orange and lemon rind and juice. Boil together fifteen minutes.
2. Remove from the heat and add the walnuts. Pack in hot sterile jars and seal with melted paraffin.
