Saltine Cracker

Saltine crackers are thin crisp crackers which have a liberal layer of coarse salt on the surface. They are made from wheat flour, shortening, yeast and baking soda. The crackers are eaten as a snack with dips or used to make canapés for starters. Saltine crackers are easily distinguished by their rough surface and small holes all over the body. Many brands of these crackers are available across the US.
