Whole Wheat Crackers

Ingredients
  Shortening 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Milk 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Honey 2 Tablespoon
  Whole wheat flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  All purpose flour 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Yellow cornmeal 2 Tablespoon
  Wheat germ 2 Tablespoon
  Baking powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Heat oven to 350°.
Mix shortening, milk and honey in 2-quart bowl; stir in remaining ingredients until well blended.
Divide dough into halves.
Roll one half into rectangle, 15 x 10 inches, on lightly greased cookie sheet.
Cut dough into about 1 1/2-inch squares.
Bake until light brown and firm, 10 to 12 minutes.
Repeat with other half.
Whole Wheat Animal Crackers: Roll dough 1/16 inch thick on lightly floured surface.
Cut with animal-shaped cookie cutters.
Place on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake until edges are very light brown, 8 to 10 minutes.
