|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened|
|Shredded sharp cheddar cheese||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Chives||1 Tablespoon, chopped|
Cream butter and cheese until smooth.
Combine flour, salt, and chives; add to creamed mixture, blending well.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls; place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Flatten each ball to '1/8-inch thickness with the bottom of a glass dipped in flour.
Prick top with a fork.
Bake at 350Â° for 12 to 15 minutes; let cool on a wire rack.
Store in a tightly covered container.
