Apple Graham Cracker Cake
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Graham cracker crumbs||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Milk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Vanilla||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Apples||6 Cup (96 tbs), peeled|
|Butter||3 Tablespoon, melted|
|Ground cinnamon||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
Cream together butter and 1/2 c.sugar until light.
Add egg yolks; beat well.
Combine graham cracker crumbs, baking powder and salt; add alternately with milk and vanilla to other ingredients, stirring until well-blended.
Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into cake mixture.
Pour half of cake batter into greased 8" square baking dish.
Cover with a layer of apples.
Pour remainder of mixture over apples.
Arrange remaining apples on top of batter and cover with melted butter.
Sprinkle with combined 2 tblsp.sugar and cinnamon.
Bake in 350° oven for 45 minutes or until done
