Creamed Crab With Tomato
|Sliced fresh mushrooms||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sliced green onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Finely chopped celery||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Skim milk||1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)|
|Dried thyme||1⁄2 Teaspoon, crushed|
|Shredded process swiss cheese||4 Ounce (1 Cup)|
|Canned crab meat||7 Ounce, drained, flaked, and cartilage removed (1 Can)|
|Tomato||1 Medium, peeled, seeded, and chopped|
|Bread slice||2 , toasted and quartered|
In saucepan cook mushrooms, onion, and celery in butter or margarine till onion is tender
Stir together milk, cornstarch, salt, thyme, and pepper.
Add to onion mixture all at once.
Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.
Stir in Swiss cheese till melted, Carefully stir in crab and chopped tomato.
