Homemade Pie Shell
|All purpose flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Ice water||2 Tablespoon|
Place flour and salt in small bowl.
Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Sprinkle water over mixture.
Stir with fork to form a ball.
Roll out on floured pastry board to 12-inch circle.
Fit into 9-inch micro proof pie plate.
Trim and flute edge.
Prick pastry with fork.
Cook on HI, 10 to 12 minutes.
Pastry is done when it appears dry and blistered and is not doughy.
Cool before filling.
