Cushaw Pie

Ingredients
  Cushaw 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Ginger 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Allspice 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Flour 1 Tablespoon
  Eggs 2
  Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Cream 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Unbaked 9-in. pastry shell 1
Directions

Combine cushaw, brown sugar, spices, salt and flour; mix well.
Beat eggs; add milk, cream and vanilla.
Blend egg mixture into cushaw mixture; pour into pie shell.
Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes; reduce oven temperature to 325 degrees.
Bake for 45 minutes longer or until filling is firm.
