Transparent Pie

Ingredients
  Egg yolks 4
  Butter stick 1
  Evaporated milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Pie shell 1 , partially baked
  Sugar 8 Tablespoon (Additional)
Directions

Beat together egg yolks and sugar.
Place in mediumsaucepan over low heat.
Melt butter in egg mixture, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat as soon as butter melts.
Add evaporated milk and vanilla.
Pour into crust and bake for 15 minutes at 400 degrees.
Then reduce heat and bake until custard is set.
Cover pie with meringue made form 4 egg whites and 8 tablespoons sugar.
Return to oven to brown meringue. (Watch carefully)
