|Boiling water||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Granulated sugar||3 Teaspoon|
|Vegetable shortening||2 Teaspoon, melted|
|Basic pie shell||1 (unbaked, 8 inch)|
Melt chocolate chips in boiling water; set aside to cool.
Beat eggs; blend in cornstarch and sugar replacement.
Continue beating and add the shortening and, gradually, the chocolate mixture.
Pour into pie shell.
Bake at 400°F (200°C) for about 35 minutes or until custard is set.
