Johnny Appleseed Pie
|Sugar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Ground cinnamon||1 Teaspoon|
|Tart apples||8 , peeled, cored, and thinly sliced (6 Cups)|
|9 inch unbaked pastry shell||1|
|Semi sweet chocolate pieces||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Biscuit mix||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Packaged)|
|Sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Combine 1/3 cup sugar and cinnamon; mix with apples.
Turn into unbaked pastry shell.
Top with chocolate pieces.
In small bowl combine biscuit mix and 1/4 cup sugar.
Cut in butter or margarine till mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Sprinkle evenly over pie.
Bake at 400° till apples are tender, about 45 minutes.
