|Shortening/Bacon drippings||1 Tablespoon|
|Chopped onion||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Shredded cheese||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Unbaked 9 inch pie shell||1|
|Eggs||3 , beaten|
|Dairy sour cream/Sour cream substitute||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
1. Using bacon drippings or shortening, stir-fry chopped onion until tender.
2. In bottom of pie shell, spread onion and shredded cheese.
3. Combine beaten eggs, sour cream, salt, and pepper in mixing bowl. Pour over onion-cheese mixture in pie shell.
4. Bake at 375Â°F 25 to 30 minutes, or until center is set. Do not overbake.
