|Chopped pecans/Chopped walnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Cornflakes||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) (Use Crisp Variety)|
Beat egg whites and salt until just stiff enough to hold moist peaks; then add sugar gradually about 1 heaping tablespoon at a time continuing to beat after each addition, until whites form soft peaks.
Fold in nuts using a fork; then fold in the cornflakes.
Drop mixture by teaspoonfuls onto a baking sheet covered with smooth unglazed paper.
Bake in a slow oven (300° F.) for 25 to 30 minutes.
Remove from paper to a cake rack immediately.
Makes about 3 dozen kisses.
