Two Pepper Corn Bread
|Cream cheese||1⁄2 Pound (250 Gram)|
|Granulated sugar||15 Milliliter (1 Tablespoon)|
|Cornmeal||250 Milliliter (1 Cup)|
|All purpose flour||250 Milliliter (1 Cup)|
|Baking powder||15 Milliliter (1 Tablespoon)|
|Green onions||6 , chopped|
|Mild green chilies||1 Can (10 oz), drained and chopped|
|Finely chopped sweet red pepper||125 Milliliter (1/2 Cup)|
In bowl, beat cheese with sugar; beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder and salt; stir into cheese mixture along with green onions, chilies and red pepper just until combined.
Spoon into greased and floured 8 x 4 inch (1.5 L) loaf pan.
Bake in 350Â°F (180Â°C) oven for 1 hour or until tester inserted into center comes out clean.
Let cool in pan for 5 minutes.
Let cool completely on rack.
