Cornbread Skillet Casserole

Ingredients
  Eggs 2 , slightly beaten
  Yellow cornmeal 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Baking soda 2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Canned cream style corn 17 Ounce
  Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Vegetable oil 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Ground beef 1 Pound
  Shredded cheddar cheese 8 Ounce (2 cups)
  Onion 1 Large, chopped
  Jalapeno peppers 4 , finely chopped
Directions

Combine first 7 ingredients in a bowl, and set aside.
Cook ground beef until browned; drain well, and set aside.
Pour half of cornmeal mixture into a greased 10 1/2-inch cast-iron skillet.
Sprinkle evenly with beef; top with cheese, onion, and peppers.
Pour remaining batter over top.
Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.
Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
