Poor Man's Cornbread

Ingredients
  Cornmeal 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Flour 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Soda 1 Pinch
  Boiling water 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
Directions

Combine dry ingredients.
Pour boiling water over mixture and stir until moistened.
Let cool and make into small pat ties.
Fry in deep fat until golden brown.
Serves 6.
