Green Chilies Corn Bread
|Canned green chilies||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Corn bread mix||200 Gram|
|Cream corn||9 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Bacon drippings||2 Tablespoon|
|Shredded sharp american process cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Drain, rinse and seed the green chilies.
Cut in strips and drain on paper towels.
Prepare the corn bread mix according to package directions and stir in the corn and bacon drippings.
Spoon half the batter into a greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Place chilies over batter and sprinkle with half the cheese.
Cover with remaining batter, then add remaining cheese.
Bake according to package directions.
