Cheese Savory Cornbread
|French fried onions||1 1⁄2 Ounce, crushed (Half Of 3 Ounce Can)|
|Grated parmesan||1 Tablespoon|
|Yellow cornmeal||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking powder||4 Teaspoon|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Oil||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Combine onions and Parmesan cheese.
Place mixture in well-greased 9-inch microwave-safe baking ring.
Turn ring to coat sides and bottom; set aside.
In large mixing bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Add egg, milk and oil; stir until smooth.
Pour batter into prepared baking ring.
Microwave at MEDIUM (5) 6 to 10 minutes until done.
Invert onto serving plate.
Fill center of ring with cooked fresh vegetables before serving, if desired.
