Herbed Cornbread Appetizers
|Self rising cornmeal||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Self rising flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Ground nutmeg||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Ground oregano||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Sweet basil||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
|Milk||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Melted shortening/Vegetable oil||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
Combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, nutmeg, oregano, thyme, and basil.
Combine egg, milk, and shortening.
Add liquid mixture to dry mixture, stirring well.
Spoon into a well-greased 13- x 9- x 2-inch pan.
Bake at 425° for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brow
