Green Chile Corn Bread

Ingredients
  Canned green chiles 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs), drained
  Corn muffin mix/Corn bread mix 8 1⁄2 Ounce (1 Package)
  Canned cream style corn 9 Ounce (1 Can / 1 Cup)
  Bacon drippings/Butter 2 Tablespoon, melted
  Shredded sharp process american cheese 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Rinse and seed chilies; cut in strips and drain on paper towels.
Prepare the mix according to package directions; stir in corn and the bacon drippings.
Spoon half the batter into a greased 9x9x2-inch pan.
Lay chilies over batter; sprinkle with half the cheese.
Top with remaining batter, then remaining cheese.
Bake according to package directions.
