Sweet Corn Porridge With Dried Fruits

Ingredients
  1% low fat milk 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Brown sugar 2 Tablespoon
  Maple syrup 1 Tablespoon
  Stone ground cornmeal 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Scant)
  Diced dried fruit 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Assorted, apricots, apples, raisins, currants, and prunes)
  Kosher salt To Taste (optional)
  Fresh black pepper To Taste (few grinds)
  Unsalted butter 1 Tablespoon
Directions

MAKING
1. In a saucepan, put the first 3 ingredeints and cook over high heat until heated properly
2. Lower the heat to a simmer, and in the saucepan, slowly add cornmeal, keep stirring , for 3 to 4 minutes, until the milk and cornmeal are combined together and properly mushed, start stirring in the dried fruit, and season with a pinch of salt and pepper, and finally stir in the butter

SERVING
3. Spoon into bowls and serve with more brown sugar, syrup, and butter, if desired
