Corn Meal Mush

Ingredients
  Corn meal 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Preferably Enriched Yellow Meal)
  Boiling water 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Sprinkle meal into rapidly boiling water, add salt, and heat, stirring, over very low heat about 1/2 hour until quite thick.
Ladle into bowls, top with pats of butter, and serve hot for breakfast.
