Baked Apple Crumbles

Using apples, rolled oats, almond meal, chopped hazelnuts, cinnamon, orange juice, maple syrup and lemon zest, you can create an interesting twist on the traditional baked apple and apple crumble.

Start by coring and cutting apples in half horizontally, then bake for 10 minutes in a covered baking dish with 2 tablespoons of water. Mix the rest of the ingredients together in a bowl then divide the mixture between the baked apples. Push the mix into the centre of each apple and pile the rest on top. Bake for another 10 minutes in the covered baking dish then remove the cover and continue cooking for a further 10 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apple is cooked through. Serve warm, with natural yoghurt.
