Angel cookies are light as air; melt in your mouth cookies that are generally white in color. They are made from flour, shortening, eggs, sugar, vanilla and lemon extracts and baked with baking powder. Angel cookies are usually linked with festivities. Though they are generally kept white, artificial colors may be added to them. The extract and essence used for flavoring them may be substituted for any other according to taste too.
