Ingredients
  Sifted flour 2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs)
  Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Allspice 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Shortening 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Honey 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Eggs 2 , well beaten
  Milk 3 Tablespoon
  Raisins 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Seedless)
  Currants 1 Cup (16 tbs), dried
  Dates 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
  Nuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
Directions

GETTING READY
1.Start by preheating the oven to 400F degrees
MAKING
2.In a bowl, sift flour, soda, salt and spices together 3 times
3.Cream shortening with honey and sugar
4.Add eggs
5.Add milk, dry ingredients, fruit and nuts and mix thoroughly
6.Drop from teaspoon onto greased baking sheet and bake in hot oven for 10 to 12 minutes
SERVING
7.Serve with tea or coffee
