Spicy Christmas Tree Cookies
|Butter/Margarine||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
|Dark corn syrup||2 Tablespoon|
|Sifted all purpose flour||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs) (Robin Hood)|
Preheat oven to 400°F (hot).
Cream the butter, and add sugar gradually until light and fluffy.
Add the egg and syrup.
Measure flour, soda and spices into a bowl.
Stir thoroughly to blend.
Add blended dry ingredients to creamed mixture and mix well.
Chill 1 hour.
Roll out on lightly floured surface, to 14 inch thickness.
Cut with christmas tree cutter.
Place on greased baking sheet.
Decorate with coloured cake decorations.
Bake at 400°F for 5 to 8 minutes.
