|Boiling water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Brandy||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Flour||4 Cup (64 tbs), sifted|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Melted butter||1 Tablespoon|
Melt 2 cups butter in boiling water.
Add next 3 ingredients, mix and sift flour, baking powder, and salt; remove and add 2 cups flour mixture to butter mixture.
Mix well; add enough remaining flour mixture to form soft dough.
Roll out on floured board to 1/2-inch thickness, cut into fancy shapes.
Place on baking sheet, brush with additional melted butter.
Sprinkle with additional sugar and cinnamon.
Bake at 400Â° for 10 minutes
