Easy Oatmeal Cookies
|Shortening/Butter||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Soda||1 Teaspoon, dissolved in 2 teaspoon hot water|
|Oatmeal||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1 Cup (16 tbs), sifted|
Cream butter and sugar.
Add dissolved soda.
Add oatmeal and flour.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cooky sheets and press flat with a fork.
Or they may be divided in rolls, chilled, then sliced.
Bake at 350F until a nice brown.
