Molasses Fruit Drops

Molasses fruit drops are raisin and nut cookies baked with nut meg and cinnamon. Prepared with a batter of flour, sugar and molasses with added fruits and nuts, these molasses fruit drops are drop cookies.
Ingredients
  All purpose flour 3 1⁄2 Cup (56 tbs)
  Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Seedless raisins 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Shortening 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Molasses 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Hot water 3 Tablespoon
  Eggs 2 , beaten
  Nuts 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
Directions

Sift together flour, soda, salt and spices.
Scald, drain and chop raisins.
Cream shortening, add sugar and beat until well blended.
Add molasses, water, eggs, then sifted dry ingredients.
Stir in raisins and nuts.
Drop by spoonfuls on greased cooky sheets.
Bake 10 minutes at 400F.
