These Marguerites are those perfect snack kinds that can be had at any time of the day. Incredibly great with soda crackers, the taste of this Marguerites is sure to take you by surprise! Now that would make you want to give the recipe a try!
|Sugar||1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Egg whites||2 , beaten|
|Nuts||1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped|
Boil the sugar and water to the soft ball stage (238Â°F), then pour over the beaten egg whites and beat until stiff.
Add vanilla, nuts, salt and butter.
Drop by spoonfuls on the crackers and bake in a moderate oven (350Â° F.) until light brown.
