|Shortening||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Almond extract||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Flour||6 Cup (96 tbs)|
Cream the shortening and sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs, milk, vanilla and almond extract.
Stir in a mixture of the salt, baking soda and enough flour to make a workable dough.
Roll thin and flat on a floured surface.
Cut with a cookie cutter.
Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until done to taste.
Cool on a wire rack.
